We love to laugh, we love new experiences, we love adventure, we love ethnic food, we love to travel, but all of this is a distant second to our great love for the Lord. We didn’t grow up like this nor when we were in college did we believe such things. We both were once full of all the natural desires and cravings of the world. We thought we were hip, we thought we were on the path of success, and we thought we were making the most of our lives. Boy were we wrong. Though appearing polished on the outside, we each had plenty of our own sin throughout our lives and hidden in our hearts. We had a false sense of assurance that we were in good standing before God, we couldn’t have been more self deceived.
Praise God, He opened our cold and hardened hearts through two incredible different stories of circumstances that He used to draw us each to Himself. We have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8-9) our only hope for salvation (John 14:6). With the deepest gratitude we could ever express we no longer live for ourselves for the One who redeemed us and bought us with the price of Jesus’ blood.
Now, we cling to the straight and narrow path, die to self, pick up our cross, daily follow Christ and contend for the faith. Our desire is that we might glorify God by being living examples of the incredible work the Lord has done in each of us (Ezek 36:25-28, 2 Cor 5:17).
We pray that this blog is a blessing to others as they peek into our lives and share with us through both the big and small events that are a part of the refining work the Lord is doing in our lives as He conforms us more to the image of His Son.
“So, whether you eat or drink , or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1st Corinthians 10:31
Our heart is to glorify the Lord, making His wonderful Name known to the nations, and to be a part of the saving work the Lord is doing as He draws others to Himself. Oh, that we would all be true worshipers in spirit and truth!!
“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” John 4:23
For His glory,
Jason & Whitney
